David and Charlie's South African Safari 2007

This has been a long time coming, It's taken many, many, many hours to put this video together and I still think there is a lot of room for improvement but if I don't post this now, I probably never will.  The thing is, its keeping me from doing other stuff or experimenting on other projects.

In 2007 David, Sue, William and Charlie were all meant to come on holiday to South Africa, but at the last minute William became ill and could not travel, so Sue decided to stay home with him and allow David and Charlie to still come because flights, accommodation and arrangements had already been made.  It was a whirlwind 10 day holiday which was all planned down to a tee by Carol.  This was the itinerary:

Itinerary for David & Charlie – 05 to 14 April 2007

Thu. 05 Apr  -    07:25 -   Arrival at Jhb Int. Airport SA 261

                         Pick up Imperial Hire car (Reservation no. 129 229 894) and drive
                         to Sabie, Mpumalanga. Stay at The Woodsman B&B.  Relax after long
                         journey!
 
Fri. 06 Apr    -   Visit Pilgrim’s Rest, God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck                                       Potholes, etc.
                        Stay at The Woodsman.

Sat. 07 Apr   -   Ditto.  Stay at The Woodsman.

Sun. 08 Apr  -   Ditto.  Stay at The Woodsman.

Mon. 09 Apr -   Early morning, drive to Kruger Park.  Stay at Skukuza Restcamp.

Tue. 10 Apr  -   Take a drive around looking for animals.  Drive home.

Wed. 11 Apr  -  Ross back to school.

                        Drive to Cullinan and visit the diamond mine. 
                        19:00 Musical Fountains at Brightwater Common, Randburg.

Thu. 12 Apr  -   Drive to Pretoria.  Visit Union Buildings & park.

                        p.m.  visit De Wildt Cheetah Sanctuary, Brits.

Fri. 13 Apr    -   a.m. Soweto Tour.

                        eve. Spit braai at the Baird house.
 
Sat. 14 Apr   -   a.m.  Visit Gold Reef City
                        p.m.  Visit Eastgate Shopping Mall
                        19:20 -   Leave Johannesburg LH 573.
